This August, Odenbeck, my brother Patrick, and I ventured deep into the Absaroka-Beartooths to climb an ~1100' unclimbed wall with a 20+ mile approach from the trailhead. All went smoothly and we successfully established The Great Bear(11c R, 10 pitches) on the Pisce Wall.

The following day we took advantage of our location and explored some of the amazing boulders that populate this remote area. I was pretty beat, but Odenbeck seemed to harness some extra energy.

We rounded out the day with a bit of fishing, but the smoke from the Miner Paradise Complex fire made the conditions a bit tough...regardless, a great rest day deep in the Beartooths.
