It is nearing that time of year again... Time to Bash!!! Or at least start thinking about it. Things are gonna be different this year so we thought we would start leaking the details.
What?
The Butte Bouldering Bash is an outdoor bouldering competition and social event in the Boulder Batholith formation outside of Butte, Montana. Here is a link to last year's Bash wrap up http://www.montanabouldering.com/2011/09/2nd-annual-butte-bouldering-bash-wrap.html
Where?
The event will be held at a new zone The Trailer Boulders. This is an area that has been in development for the past couple years and has a wide variety of excellent problems from V0-V10. We thought that it was time to unveil it to the masses. We are also planning on releasing a guidebook for the area at the comp as well. Though we will not have the lodge this year, this area has ample camping, better parking etc., etc., etc.
When?
The Bash will be a little later this year to hopefully escape the heat. We are setting the date for Saturday, October 13th so mark your calendars!
Why?
Why not? Besides the comp there will be, a prize raffle with prizes from our sponsors, shoe demos, food, music and of course beer. The day after the event we will also be organizing a clean up for the camping and bouldering areas.
