More from the Trestles

Rose on "Red Blood Cells"

As mentioned in the previous post Tom, Whitmore, Rose, Zuzana and myself walked down to the trestle on a wet Sunday. Much faith was put into the now infamous Batholith rain shadow. After climbing on some pretty nice warm-up slabs and an interesting overhang feature we dubbed the Choke-asaurus. Zuzana spied a really nice thin face that held a couple killer problems. Here are a couple shots from the aptly named "Red Blood Cells" and some of the other finds from the day...

It has been a great Fall here in Southwestern Montucky. Beautiful weather and great temps continue to bring us to the bountiful Batholith. More sends are surely on the way...

Roaming near the Trestle

The weather didn't look very promising, but the faith in the rain shadow was strong.

The sky was grey, but the rain held off...though things were still a bit wet... Patrick, Whitmore, Zana, Rose and I headed into some new gullies, waiting for things to dry up a bit.

We found some decent possibilities as well as some dry rock and proceeded to warm up...after a while we found ourselves at a very interesting problem...

A fun day to be sure...glad the rain rain held off.

More to come.

Cheers!

New Skin and Aspens (Revisited)

Hello all,

We decided to give Bouldering the Backwaters a new skin. Let us know what you think. As an added bonus we thought you might want to check out some photos of those new problems in the Aspens. These cooler sending temps are getting us psyched to get back into the lower areas and finish some of those projects.

Back in the Aspens

Great time last weekend out in the Aspens. A beautiful day out there with all the trees turning.

Homer came out and was on a roll! Super fun day.

Fall is here and it should be a great season. Psyched to head back to the lower zones.
Cheers!
